For over two decades, I have been telling stories through lens of my camera, capturing the essence of Nepal and beyond. My journey as a professional photographer began amidst the fervor of Nepal’s historic mass democratic movement in 2006, where my commitment to documenting the truth was solidified. The experiences I’ve gathered over the years have shaped me into not only a photographer but a storyteller, dedicated to preserving moments of historical significance with integrity and precision.

I had the privilege of serving as the official photographer for the Right Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal, a role I held from November 17, 2019, to July 13, 2021. This period in my career was a milestone, marking my ability to capture complex political moments with sensitivity and skill. Through this experience, I gained unique insights into the political landscape of Nepal and honed my ability to document critical events with clarity and depth.

Earlier in my career, during the movement against the monarchy, I worked for Nepal Television (NTV), where I became deeply immersed in photojournalism. It was there that my adherence to journalistic ethics became evident. I captured pivotal moments during a period of intense political upheaval, ensuring that the images I presented were unbiased, authentic, and true to the spirit of the movement. My work continues to be an integral part of NTV’s broadcasts, a reflection to my dedication to truth and objectivity. I also dedicatedly worked in various prominent media houses like Kantipur Television, Channel Nepal Television, where I spent my one decades of life working with unwavering efforts in different genres like news, entertainment, sports and tourism.

Throughout my career, I have always strived to push the boundaries of traditional photography, embracing new multimedia technologies. My tenure with Rt. Honorable Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s office was particularly significant in this regard. I played a key role in bringing the modern multimedia techniques into the Prime Minister’s Office, leaving behind a legacy of technological innovation that continues to influence the political and media spheres in Nepal.

Likewise, I have also organized more than 50 trainings as the team lead in Nepal and in the Interntional domains for potential photojournalists and studio photographers of Nepal. These trainigs played a pivotal role for those individuals who were ready to dedicate their life working in the photography and photojournalism landscape of the nation. Also, it paved ways for those who dreamt and aspired to do something better, something impactful in the journalism landscape of Nepal and beyond.

In recognition of my work, I have been honored with several prestigious awards that reflect my dedication to the craft. In 2013, I was awarded the Wedding Photographer of the Year Award, an achievement that highlighted my ability to capture the intimate moments of one of life’s most important milestones. In 2018, I was honored with the National Photojournalism Award, a recognition of my commitment to documenting the world around me with honesty and precision. In 2019, I received the Outstanding Photojournalist Excellency Award, celebrating my excellence in photojournalism.

Most recently, in 2022, I was proud to be awarded the Outstanding Youth Photojournalism Award, a testament to my ongoing passion and dedication to the field. I received all these awards from prominent figures of Nepal including Rt. Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal, Rt. Honorable Speaker of the House of Representatives and Honorable Deputy Prime Minister.

In every frame I capture, I aim to not just document but also narrate a story, one that speaks of history, culture, and the human spirit. My passion for photography has always been intertwined with a commitment to truth, and as I continue to grow in this field, I remain focused on telling stories that matter, stories that endure.
